The robotic arm: our latest automation step

Continuous development

Our CNC turners were faced with a challenge...during several short production cycles, they lost a lot of time changing machines. This challenge turned out to be the beginning of a great new development within our company. Continuous development is very important to us and we wanted to solve this problem in the right way. Our new robotic arm turned out to be the perfect solution!

A nice automation step

The raw material is feeded to the lathe by the robotic arm and processing the raw material eventually results in the end product. Because of this automation step, the lathe can turn unmanned, sometimes even all night long. In this way, the robotic arm takes over a lot of work of our colleagues. An additional advantage is that this enables us to shorten our delivery times.

Optimal and pleasant work process

The robotic arm creates peace and stability for our colleagues. Because the feeding of the lathes is automatic and continues without a pause, our CNC turners have the time and peace to set up the next machine, without having to run back and forth between the different machines. In addition, it is actually very nice for the operators to work with a robot, as they had never done that before. Thanks to the user-friendly operating system and a short course, they were able to work pleasantly with their new robotic colleague!
