About us

At DM Wheel Systems we focus on wheel systems. We want to take care of our customers by taking over a part of their supply chain. Let us take the risk with our specialty, so that you (our customers) can focus on their core activities and can distinguish themselves more in their core business. This delivers good results and creates a win/win situation. In our opinion, the European manufacturing industry has the greatest future if partnerships are built. A long-term vision is crucial in this process. We are looking forward accepting this challenge together with you under the motto "Together we are strong".

What does this ‘taking care’ mean? For example, supplying shafts for drive systems of the wheels, or making a total construction, which also includes wheels. With our new advanced machine park, we can make the difference for you. We look at the total cost of ownership! Challenge us and we will show you how much money you can save.

Just to be clear, let us give a short explanation of what we mean by "total cost of ownership".  The total cost of ownership is the total costs for owning a product or using a service during the life cycle or cycle of use. Besides the purchase price of the product, the total cost of ownership also includes all costs from the moment of purchase until the moment the product is released. Calculating the total cost of ownership might be a way to determine the product costs before and after the process and compare them to each other. This is not only a price comparison but gives a better idea of what advantages can be achieved when working together.

Costs being part of the total cost of ownership:

  • Maintenance costs
  • Depreciation
  • Repair costs
  • Insurances
  • Licensing costs
  • Guarantees and certifications
  • Costs for training and education
  • Financing costs
  • Taxes
  • Personnel costs
  • Management costs
  • Fuel costs
  • Electricity costs
  • Costs of risks such as failure / downtime and associated precautionary measures
  • Security costs
  • Distribution costs
  • Housing costs / storage costs
  • Research costs
  • Discharge costs or disposal costs
  • Opportunity costs

Our history

DM Wheel Systems has a combined experience of 100 years in wheel solutions. DM Wheel Systems (until recently known as D&M Holland) originated from two renowned wheel specialists, namely Danimo Transportwielen from Zaandam (1976) and MIB Wielen from Boxtel (1951). Since these two companies bundled their strengths on January 1, 2007, the Netherlands has one more stable producer and supplier in the wheel industry/wheel wholesale.

DM Wheel Systems is the centre of expertise for wheels, forks, shafts, turned parts and constructions. With a wide range of products and services we can provide you with the best possible service.

The history of Danimo Transportwielen B.V. goes back to 1976. In that year Mr. Groen started his business in Zaandam. Until January 1, 2007, Danimo was the only company in the Netherlands which had both the experts as the machines for developing new wheel products independently. Custom-made wheels that fully meet the expectations of our customers.

MIB Wielen was founded on January 12, 1951 and is originally a family business that is now working with the third generation. Until today, problem solving is one of the core activities of this company. Everything can be custom-made, and quick as well, because we make the wheel in our own factory. This also applies for large series and for super heavy loads up to 15,000 kg per wheel.

DM Wheel Systems in 2019

Now, so many years later, we can say that we are ready for the future. We have heavily invested in our machine park to enable DM Wheel Systems to hold a strong position in the industrial market, now and in the future. Different robots, shuttles and machines on computer-controlled lathes are being used. This way, our productivity per day rises with an overhead that is as low as possible. This in combination with an advanced computer system and well-trained colleagues ensures that we are confident towards the future.
